What We Do

Please note, we are not motivators, we provide a service which helps people develop insight into the potential and possibilities in their own lives and their present or future purpose, beyond trauma, illness, money or bad relationships. With our background experience in CBT and counselling, we also aid people in understanding how they fit into their own life, their impact upon others and how to assess this.
 
In 1998, at our sister company at www.tcna.org ,we started a local Cognitive Behavioural therapeutic, private fee paying clinic, for individuals suffering from anxiety, mal adaptive obsessive behaviours, mild depression and social phobias. The success rate is excellent with many testimonials, however we also began to see the reality of helping someone deal with a major thought process or behaviour and come out the other side. We then heard them ask "so what's next - what do I do with my life now"? Many people were glad to have simply solved their problem, but they still walked back into that environment and life where the problem occurred and if they did not then begin to deal with their LIFE, they would often regress back to behaviours they knew well- in essence you allow yourself to mentally learn how to be helpless or be the victim.
 
So we began to discuss these issues with clients to the point where they understood - getting control of "their thoughts" does not necessarily mean they were in control of the rest of their "LIFE". They then found getting control of their thoughts and emotions was not enough as they began to gain insight. We realised such clients lacked very basic insight tools. That few had an opportunity as they grew to hold on to their dreams or ask QUALITY questions about their own lives. As such, they dealt with life the best way they had learned, mostly by trial and error and conditioning from their past. Many lacked insight into the fact their lives were now as they had chosen (notwithstanding abuse), that nothing they feel think or do is random and it had all been learned. But best of all - every thought, feeling, physical state or habitual behaviour can be unlearned. These clients tried to be motivated, but were actually stepping over the first rung of the life ladder which would give them a NATURAL motivation, if they had taken the time or been given the guidance to do so.
